JAG Essays
Set amidst the larger-than-life world of fighter planes, nuclear submarines and mammoth aircraft carriers, JAG chronicles the career of Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr. (David James Elliott), resourceful Navy lawyer and officer in the Navy's Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps, who plays the diverse roles of investigator, prosecutor and defense attorney.
Harm's partner and fellow JAG officer Lt. Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell) is a confident, tough, but emotionally vulnerable Marine Corps attorney. An equal match for Harm, Mac embodies her Marine credo of "rifleman first, attorney second." Together they use their intelligence and determination to uncover the mysteries behind military cases involving murder, treason, and espionage, among other crimes.

Wow. Eight seasons. More than 150 episodes has been filmed. Not many tv shows ever last that long. Thus here at JAGman's Abode, we would like to begin an in-depth exploration of tv's most famous military show. Mind you, JAG has been talking about courtroom drama long before The Practice or Ally McBeal.
Being a big fan of the show, my efforts in trying to watch it has been hampered due to the local television station being unable to show JAG in sync together with its US airing. Thus I apologize to being less than up-to-date. However thanks to an overseas friend, I have been able to keep up with JAG latest developments back in the US.
Giving my two cents' worth regarding my favourite show is what this page is all about. Everybody is welcome to contribute here as well. Just drop me an email.
Word of caution though. There may be some spoilers of Season 7 and 8. I did manage to catch some eps though there were times I did not catch what was going on. Forgive me and do point it out if I made errors.
Enough rambling. Let's dissect this show.
